This is my first post, so I'll try to keep it as upbeat as possible. I'm currently in Georgia and my husband is in Utah going to work and school. We were involved in a serious car accident on December 26, 2008 which just topped off the worst year for us. I was rushed into emergency surgery due to internal bleeding, and then in the recovery room, the doctors lost our baby's heartbeat. So we lost our second baby in one year, he was six months in the womb. Another topping on the cake is the fact that the police didn't do their job, and so despite the fact that a car turned left into us while we were going 65 miles an hour, it looks like it's our fault in the police report even though nobody got cited. So despite the fact that I feel well enough to go home, I'm stuck in Georgia until we can meet with a lawyer and get this all straightened out.
Just a plea to people out there, please cherish your children and realize what a great gift your entrusted with to raise these precious spirits. Nothing makes me sadder and more bitter than seeing people who can't take care of the kids they have continue to have more children and not take care of them. If they could just walk a day in my shoes. Hopefully my next post will be more uplifting.
